Hundreds learn about emergency preparedness

Ashland, Ore. –Hundreds of people packed the Ashland Armory Saturday to learn about what it takes to be prepared in case of an emergency.

The seminars were called “Ashland is Ready.” People who attended heard from speakers about potential emergency situations including fires, floods, and earthquakes.

Experts said it’s about more than just attending the seminar. It’s about acting, making a plan, and having the right supplies.

Some supplies recommended are first aid kits, food, water, and flashlights.
