Increased assistance for food stamp participants at local markets

Medford, Ore. — Assistance for food stamp participants is increasing at the Saturday Rogue Valley Growers and Crafters Market.

The Market is raising the amount of money they match for SNAP card carriers through a program called “Fresh Rewards.”

The Market previously matched the first $4.00 spent, now they are upping that amount to $6.00.That means that for the first $6.00 Oregon Trail card-holders use, they’ll get another $6.00 to spend on fresh produce.

The increased incentive lasts through October 25th. The Saturday Market is held at The Commons in Medford from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
