Jackson County Sheriff’s Office searching for man who robbed local towing company

Central Point, Ore. –The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help to find a man who robbed Crater Towing and Recovery in Central Point this afternoon.

An employee at the shop says a man came in to get his car from the impound lot but was mad about paying the $1,000 fee.

The employee says the man put the money he owed on the counter and gave the office manager a copy of his drivers license. But after the woman counted the money and gave him his receipt he pushed her up against the wall, grabbed the money back and took off.

Deputies say the man was not armed and drove away in a 2003 silver Toyota Echo with Tennessee license plates.

If you see this car or have any information call the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
