JaCo FD#5/Ashland Fire & Rescue discussing joining forces

ASHLAND, Ore. The city of Ashland is discussing a possible change to its fire services in Monday’s study session.

According to Monday’s meeting agenda, representatives of Jackson County Fire District 5 will be making a presentation.

It’ll discuss alternative approaches for the regionalization of fire services within the city of Ashland.

With rising costs and increasing difficulties in recruiting firefighters, the city says consolidation of firefighters is becoming more common.
