Rogue River, Ore. — It’s a big weekend for the rebuilding efforts at Eagle Point’s Butte Creek Mill.
Saturday afternoon is the Annual Vintage Fair and on Sunday evening actor Jim Belushi and rhythm and soul group Duke Street will hold a concert to raise money to help rebuild the mill.
The Butte Creek Mill was destroyed in a fire on December 25th, 2015.
Butte Creek Mill owner Bob Russell recently dropped by NBC5 News studios to explain how Belushi got involved. “He said, ‘If there’s anything I can do, let me know.’ Well, before you know it they called back and said, ‘Why don’t we do a concert?’ So he picked this weekend because he was open and it’s a busy weekend because we have our vintage fair on Saturday the 14th and the concert’s on Sunday the 15th and so it’s evolved into a pretty big deal,” said Russell.
The Vintage Fair is from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14 at the mill. The Rebuild the Mill Concert is at nearby Eagle Creek Estate Sunday evening. Music starts at 7, but the gates open at 5:30.
