At least 75 kids from Conger Elementary School were hit by the bug over the past month.

Klamath County Public Health Director Marilynn Sutherland says the virus has now been confirmed as a norovirus GII strain.

An additional 80 kids from other schools have now been hit with vomiting and diarrhea from the virus.

Sutherland says GII is a particularly nasty strain, adding that victims may remain contagious more than 3 days after symptoms are gone.
