Klamath County teacher accused of bullying student

Klamath Falls, Ore. – A Klamath County high school teacher faces criminal charges for allegedly bullying at 14 year old student.

57 year old Peter Paul Lucas is accused of encouraging students to ‘dog pile’ on a Henley High School student that failed to run laps…and while the student was on the ground, the P.E. teacher is accused of putting his foot near the student’s face, and claiming he had just stepped in dog feces.

Klamath County Schools Superintendent Greg Thede says the district is taking allegations very seriously…

“At this point in time, Mr. Lucas is on paid administrative leave, and has been since this event occurred.”

The incident is alleged to have taken place on March sixth.

The mother of the victim them contacted the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office.

Once the investigation was completed, Klamath County District Attorney Rob Patridge says a warrant was issued for Lucas’s arrest…

“We’ve made a decision to file these three charges: harassment, and two counts of official misconduct in this matter.”

The charges are all misdemeanors, but could cost Lucas, a P.E. teacher and wrestling coach at Henley since 2006, his job.
