Green Springs, Ore.– Withthe Oregon Gulch fire closer to full containment,community fire information boards are beginning to be taken down.
The board that sits outside the Green Springs Inn will no longer be there after Sunday. The boards provide locals the latest on the fire including acreage, information about meetings, and evacuation orders.
People who live in the area said they’re thankful for the updates.
“it’s really nice to rely on legitimate information rather than rumors and rumors can spread. But it’s been really good the updates and having the fire people here. It’s been really interesting and helpful,” said Car Sieg.
While community boards will no longer be available, KOBI5.com will post the latest fire updates.
