Lithia Park trails get spruced up

Ashland, Ore.– Volunteers from the Kiwanis, Lions and Rogue Valley Rotary club spent hours putting some new touches on Lithia Park Saturday.

They spread 50 wheel barrels full of new wood chips and dirt all along the park’s walking path. They said it’s something they’re happy to do.

“We all give back to our community one way or another. We all feel its important to live here we enjoy this and we want to keep it nice and the only way to do that it is for everybody to pitch in and be a part of the community and make it better.” said Jerry Price.

Volunteers said they add new wood chips and soil to the paths to keep the park an enjoyable place to walk through.

They encourage more people to get involved.
