Free vision clinic helps 199 Illinois Valley residents

Cave Junction, Ore. — 199 people who normally wouldn’t be able to afford basic eye exams can see a bit better thanks to a free vision clinic.

The clinic was hosted Saturday, by the Josephine County Doundation and students from the Illinois Valley leadership class.

The clinic provided free eye exams and filled prescriptions for glasses, which will also be free of charge.

Organizers says they were overwhelmed by the response and plan to host another clinic in the near future.
