Central Point, Ore. — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department is getting a new K9 thanks to a donation from the Southern Oregon Kennel Club.
SOKC gave a $10,000 check to the Sheriff’s Department today during their annual dog show.
The money will pay for a new dog and the training it needs for the job.
The new dog will take Darco’s place. Darco is an 11 year veteran of the department. The audience got a chance to see him in action before the check was presented.
