New tonight, we are learning more information about a stabbing that happened Friday night near table rock and airport roads.
Police say they arrested 25-year-old Jonathan Fraioli after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend’s mother.
According to reports, the two got into an argument about family members while driving.
The victim reportedly pulled over to confront Fraioli, and that is when she was stabbed.
The vehicle stopped near an unmarked police car, grabbing the attention of officers who then arrested Fraioli.
NBC-5 spoke with Fraoli’s father who says drugs may have played a factor.
“I feel sorry for my son, and the victim. My son has a drug problem, just like the rest of the people in the car. And I think we need to focus more on that rather than the crimes they commit after the fact.”
Fraioli is tonight behind bars at the Jackson County Jail facing first and second degree assault charges.
Meantime, the woman who was stabbed was taken to Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
