Mary Jane’s Attic is back open

Medford, Ore. –A Medford store originally shut down in May for providing cannabis to medical marijuana patients is back open, but this time the store won’t have medical marijuana.

Mary Jane’s Attic opened this morning at 11. Owner, Marlene Nuckols, says she reapplied for a business license and got approved last Friday.

Nuckols says Mary Jane’s Basement, which was a go-between for cannabis patients and growers, won’t be operating.

The basement is closed and it’s just the attic and we’ll still be promoting American made products from clothes, to jewelry, soaps, lotions, definitely trying to get a lot of local people and their products in here, said Nuckols.

Nuckols also says she’s looking into changing Medford’s ban on medical marijuana dispensaries. Despite a state law allowing dispensaries, Medford has a ban in order to comply with federal law.
