Medford City Council offers City Manager position to Rob Patridge

RobPatridge3x5LargefileMedford, Ore. — After more than a year of searching, the City of Medford may finally have a new City Manager and it’s someone NBC5 News first told you about in May.

The city offered the position to former Medford City Councilor and current Klamath County District Attorney, Rob Patridge this week.

The part-time Medford resident was one of the three finalists for the position and the only one with ties to the Rogue Valley. But because the parameters of a contract have not been finalized, Patridge says he’s limited in what he can say.

Medford’s been looking to fill the position since June 5th of last year, when the council surprised City Manager Eric Swanson by firing him in the middle of a regular meetings.

A vote on Patridge could come as soon as next Thursday when the council is scheduled for both noon and 7pm meetings.

NBC5 News will provide more details on this developing story as they become available.
