New Medford Fire Stations Put on Hold

Medford fire will wait another year or two for the economy to improve before introducing a bond measure to aid the department. They’re hoping to build 2 new stations and improve response times, especially downtown.

“Our number one goal is to serve the public, the citizens of Medford, as efficiently as possible and we want to do that in a timely manner” says Deputy Fire Chief Gordon Sletmoe of the Medford Fire Department.

The Medford city council will consider adopting a resolution at Thursday’s noon meeting to help the department improve their response times.
