Ore. high school teacher’s license suspended over text messages with students

Troutdale, Ore. — An Oregon high school teacher has his license suspended after an investigation found he sent students hundreds of personal text messages even after he was told to stop.

Reynolds High School teacher Justin Prunk reportedly had inappropriate conduct with four female students during the 2012-13 school year, sending them hundreds of text messages.

One student received over a thousand text messages, according to complaints filed within the school district.

The Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission, which conducted an investigation and decided to suspend Prunk’s license for a year, but Prunk isn’t just sitting the year out, he applied for active military service leave in February.
