Former Grants Pass mental health workers accused of sexual assault, back behind bars

Grants Pass, Ore. — Two former mental health workers are back behind bars following accusations of sexual misconduct with an underage patient.

According to the Josephine County District Attorney, Dewayne Sandle-Carnell and Sonia Leamons are in jail after being indicted Wednesday, April 15th, on multiple measure 11 crimes, offenses that exceeded their original bail amounts.

The two are accused of sexual misconduct with a 17-year-old girl at the Kairos Youth Mental health Facility in Grants Pass.

They face multiple charges of second degree child sex abuse and charges of using a child in a sex display.

Leamons and Sandle-Carnell were originally arrested on April 8th, but were released after posting bail.
