Another hash oil fire in Medford

640x360_40324B00-HFTJCUpdate (1/27 1:00pm): Medford Police confirm the fire was the result of hash oil production. One man was taken to the hospital with serious second and third-degree burns. Three other people took themselves to the hospital, one with serious burns to the hands and face.

Firefighters say Tuesday afternoon’s fire in west Medford is a result of hash oil production.

It happened on the corner of Mt. Pitt and Peach around 3 pm. Firefighters say one man was taken to the hospital, nobody else was hurt.

If confirmed, this would be the 12th fire linked to hash oil production in Medford since the beginning of 2015.

The extremely volatile process is legal for those with a medical marijuana card.
