Reward offered for “Selfie Thief”

(KUSA) An iPhone thief’s love for the selfie may lead to her downfall. The thief’s non-stop self-portraits are automatically popping up on the owner’s Facebook account.

The phone’s owner, Rawley Bingham, said she was at a bar on Friday night around closing time when a woman approached her and got strangely close.

“She leaned in to say something into my ear. Things were loud, and I felt a tug on my purse,” Bingham recalls.

Before she knew it, both her cellphone and the girl were gone.

Bingham, who says she doesn’t mind being disconnected, said she figured the phone was gone for good, until she logged onto Facebook Monday morning.

“It actually becomes a lot more plausible for me to get it back when she starts posting selfies,” she says.
