MEDFORD, ORE. — Pear Blossom festivities kick off Fridaybut there are a number of road closures you need to be aware of.
Police will begin closing roads for the Pear Blossom Runs beginning at 5am, Saturday.
The races will start on Oakdale between 10th and 8th street.
Main and 8th streets will also be closed from Oakdale to Columbus.
Medford Police say traffic can expect intermittent detours east of Oakdale to Fir, on 8th and Main, between 7:00- 9:30 to accommodate 2 of the runs.
Main Street,westbound, from Columbus to Hanley Rd. will be closed, while eastbound traffic will remain open up to Columbus.
The parade will also force a number of road closures.
The following streets will be closed starting at 7:00am and will remained closed to ALL traffic except for parade entries and EMS personnel.
Central, from 238 to Court.
Court, from McAndrews to Central.
Edwards, from Beatty to Central.
Beatty, from Edwards to Central.
Manzanita, from Boardman to Court.
Riverside will be a 2 way street from 4th to Main.
Central, from Edwards to Main.
Main, from Bartlett to 6th.
Anticipated reopening of these streets will be 1:30-2:00.
