Teacher ‘thank you’ rally

Medford, Ore.– A week after being back in the classrooms Medford teachers rallied Saturday to thank their community for all the love and support during the 16 day strike.

Dozens of teachers held up thank you signs on the intersection of Barnett and Garfield.

“Working hard to get it normal as possible as quickly as possible. So being out here with thank you signs is a much then with on strike signs for sure,” said teacher, Lisa North.

Medford teachers were on strike for two weeks and reached a tentative contract agreement which is still being voted on.

Teachers said building representatives willrecieve the ballots on Monday and start collecting votes on Tuesday.
