Ashland, Ore.– The Rogue Valley Growers & Crafters Market openstoday.The market will be held at the Ashland National Guard Armory from 8:30am to 1:30pm Tuesday.
Visitors can expect a festive community experience with fresh produce & local crafts.
It will be the first market to open in Ashland where vendors are required to apply a five-percent tax to prepared food and beverages. That decision to reinforce a tax was made by the Ashland City Council earlier this year.
Market officials in Ashland announced to the vendors that they are subject to this tax; collecting, reporting. and remitting it to the city.
