Rogue Riverkeeper — an organization that advocates for protecting and restoring waterways in our area has launched local monitoring sites for the app the swim guide.

Open the app up and it gives you detailed weekly water quality reports on a number of swimming locations in Southern Oregon.

Forrest English a representative at Rogue Riverkeeper commented on the app, “so it’s both a way for folks to find new places to swim and it’s a way to find out if there’s water quality issues at a certain lake that they may need to be concerned about.”

The app is free to download. It also has monitoring data for more than 2,500 beaches in the United States.
