Tsarnaev Apologizes To Victims

(NBC News) Convicted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev apologized to his victims Wednesday shortly before a judge formally sentenced him to die for his crimes.

“You told us just how unbearable it was, this thing I put you through,” Tsarnaev said. “Now, I am sorry for the lives that I have taken.”

“I ask Allah for his mercy for me and my brother and my family,” he went on to say.

Three people died in the April 15, 2013 bombing, and more than 260 were wounded.
