ALL NEW: Defense Secretary Leon Panetta expressed his continued frustration with Pakistan’s failure to root out the terrorist network Haqqani on Thursday.
During a joint press conference with the afghan defense minister, Panetta said the United States is reaching the limits of patience.
Despite pressure from U.S. Commanders, Pakistan is still reluctant to go after insurgents, particularly the Haqqani network, which was likely responsible for recent deadly attacks on U.S. forces.
The Defense Secretary arrived in Afghanistan early this morning to take note of the progress in the war, and discuss plans for the troop draw-down.
