Local non-profit awarded conservation grant

Jackson County, Ore. — A Rogue Valley non-profit was awarded a land acquisition grant to help conserve a property along the Rogue River.

The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board announced on Tuesday, April 26th that Southern Oregon Land Conservancy was granted nearly $1.4 million.

That money is earmarked for a 352-acre property along the Rogue River, 15 miles north of Medford, known as the Rogue River Preserve.

SOLC plans to protect the habitat, restore natural resources, and provide opportunities to the community to visit and learn from the land.
