Man allegedly found harboring runaway girl

0503 Scott OliveCurry County, Ore. – A man is behind bars at the Jackson County Jail after police say he was found to be harboring a runaway female juvenile at the Rogue River RV Park.

Detectives say the juvenile had run away from her residence in Langlois, Oregon for the third time in one year, and had not been seen by family or friends since January.

After following up on various leads, police were able to determine that the juvenile was with 42-year-old Scott J. Olive at the Rogue River RV Park.

The Curry County Sheriff’s Office said Olive was arrested and is facing charges of custodial interference, but could be facing more charges as the investigation continues.

Deputies said that a safety plan for the juvenile girl and her family will be put into place by the Juvenile Department and Department of Human Services.
