Los Angeles County, Cali. – A man was hit by a bus immediately after escaping a vehicle that was left dangling on the edge of a Southern California cliff.
The Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station says they responded to a vehicle accident on Malibu Canyon Road, just north of Malibu, California on Saturday.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle lost control, nearly sending the SUV over the side of a cliff. Due to the accident, the driver was disoriented when he exited the vehicle, and was subsequently struck by a passing tour bus.
The man was conscious and breathing when officers arrived at the scene. Police say he was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Officers add that it’s a reminder of the need to drive safely, and to use extreme caution at the scene of traffic accident.
The California Highway Patrol will continue to investigate.
