Man rescued from the Rogue River

Grants Pass, Ore. – A man was rescued after police say he fell out of his kayak while boating in the Rogue River.

According to the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, police and fire crews responded to a reported drowning at Baker Park around 2:00 Thursday afternoon.

Police said bystanders took action to assist the person in the river before emergency responders arrived. One man, identified as Brad Knoblauch, entered the water and helped the kayaker to the boat dock. Both men were winded, but uninjured.
