Man with drug charges walks into MPD building

Medford, Ore. – A man with an outstanding drug charge was arrested after he strolled into a Medford Police evidence building. This comes less than a week after a woman drove to the same building in a stolen car.

According to Medford Police, 37-year-old Jacob Clements was arrested on Wednesday after he met with officers to pick up some of his property.

Police had probable cause to arrest him on an outstanding drug charge. Once he was taken into custody, he was found to be in the possession of heroin.

Clements was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on charges of felon in possession of weapon and unlawful manufacture, delivery and possession of heroin.

On a Facebook post about the incident, officers said in part, “If you get busted like this, maybe being a criminal just isn’t for you. Perhaps look at other career options.”
