Martin Luther King Jr. event in Medford

Medford, Ore., — Hundreds of people attended a Martin Luther King Junior event today put on by the city of Medford and the Medford School District.

The free community event featured live music, dance performances and speeches from prominent community members like Mayor Gary Wheeler.

ACCESS also collected non perishable food donations.

“It’s been really wonderful, the people with the school district and the multi cultural fair commission, everyone has been really pulling together a lot of resources to get a lot of stuff done.” said Jen Esmay with the Multicultural Fair Commission.

Other community resources like La Clinica and Planned Parenthood were at the event to make themselves available.
