Medford City Councilor among delegates at DNC

Philadelphia, PA — A local politician is representing about 10,000 Oregonians in Philadelphia this week. Medford City Councilor Kevin Stine is attending this week’s Democratic National Convention as a delegate for Bernie Sanders.

Stine was there as Sanders addressed his supporters Monday morning, encouraging them to vote for Clinton in November.

“‘We should make sure Donald Trump does not become president,'” Kevin Stine told us by Skype, “so there were big cheers there and then when he mentioned to do that you need to vote for Hillary Clinton boos boos throughout the entire hall.”

Stine says he’s looking forward to hearing from Hillary Clinton on some of the progressive ideas that Sanders proposed. He’ll be returning to Medford at the end of the week.
