Medford teen reported missing in Philadelphia found safe

0905 Nelson Armstrong 2Update (09/06 10:15 a.m.) — NBC5 News has learned a missing Medford teen in Philadelphia has been located. 19-year-old Nelson Armstrong’s mother said her friend was watching NBC5 News and heard about the teenager.

His mom then called the station saying he and his friend in Philadelphia had gotten separated, and for time couldn’t make contact. But Nelson Armstrong is now safe.

Philadelphia, Penn. – Philadelphia Police are looking for 19-year-old Medford resident Nelson Armstrong after he became separated from his friends during a Made in America Festival concert Sunday night.

Philadelphia NBC affiliate NBC10 reports the teen is not familiar with Philadelphia. He is described at 5’10”, thinly built, with brown eyes and curly brown hair. He was last seen wearing a tan “Hershey’s” bucket hat, a black button down shirt, shorts, navy Van sneakers, and a leather chain necklace.

He was last seen Sunday night around 11:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia.
