Motorcyclist dies after Josephine County crash

JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. – A local man died after crashing his motorcycle in Josephine County crash.

Oregon State Police said the crash happened on the evening of September 3 on Highway 260 near milepost 20.

Preliminary evidence indicates 51-year-old John Yanutik III of Merlin failed to negotiate a turn while riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Yanutik was hospitalized and later died from his injuries on September 5.

OSP provided no further information about the incident.
