Multifaceted fire and safety facility coming soon

Medford, Ore.–  Local law enforcement and safety officials celebrated the ground breaking of what will be a multifaceted training facility, the first of its kind in the area.

The White City Training Center will soon be the site of a brand new simulated residence that will allow police, fire fighters, utility companies and safety and rescue to practice real life scenarios side by side.

Moveable walls will provide new home layouts for each training.

“It’s really a collaboration of building a house that we can do simulations across all disciplines,” says Fire District 3 Fire Chief.  “It’s an excellent opportunity to work together in a regional training concept.”

The $250, 000 project is expected to be completed by April or May.  It was funded by the State Fire Marshall and the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training.
