New Mexico man’s eighth DUI caught on camera

NC_eighthdui0610_1500x845Albuquerque, N.M. (KOB) — With help from an off-duty U.S. marshal, Albuquerque, New Mexico police located and arrested a man Wednesday for his eighth DWI.

Jason Rivera was jailed for aggravated driving while under the influence Wednesday evening. According to court documents, the 46-year-old Rivera has seven previous convictions for drunken driving.

The marshal spotted Rivera driving erratically and contacted police, giving them a “play-by-play,” the criminal complaint states. The marshal saw Rivera’s vehicle crash into one car, swerve across lanes and nearly collide with other vehicles.

When officers pulled him over, the complaint states, he appeared comatose and did not comply with orders.
