One person rescued from burning mobile home near Selma

Selma FireJackson County, Ore. — One person was hospitalized after a small fire completely destroyed a mobile home near Selma.

Fire crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire early Monday evening.

Firefighters said when they arrived on scene, they found one mobile home fully engulfed in flames with an R.V. threatened by the fire. One person was rescued from the burning mobile home and sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

The Oregon Department of Forestry assisted local agencies to keep the fire from spreading to nearby wildland.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
