Police arrest man accused of sexually abusing a girl in Rite Aid

Grants Pass, Ore. —  A transient man is behind bars tonight after police say he touched an 11 year old girl in a sexual manner inside a Grants Pass store.

Police say 44 year old Frazier Jason Leslie sexually abused a young girl while she was shopping with her mother at the Rite Aid on Williams Highway last week.

The young girl immediately told her mother about the incident, prompting a search for the suspect.  An alert citizen noticed him on 6th Street near the Caveman Bridge in Grants Pass Thursday morning where he was later arrested.

“When we are able to put out a photograph of somebody and get that much a response that quickly it really helps us in what we do,” explains Lt. Todd Moran of Grants Pass Department of Public Safety.

Leslie is lodged in Josephine County Jail and faces a sexual abuse charge.  The case is still being investigated and if you have any information on Leslie or the alleged incident please contact Grants Pass DPS at (541)450-6260.
