Power outage in Central Point

UPDATE: Service was restored to customers around 5:00 p.m., according to Pacific Power.

Central Point, Ore. — Nearly 1,400 Pacific Power customers are without power in Central Point after “tree interference” caused a power outage just after 2:00 Tuesday evening.

The power line problem was initially reported to be in the area of Sandra Lane and Hopkins Road in Central Point.

Pacific Power said on-site repairs are underway and power should be restored by 5:30 p.m.
