Ashland, Ore. – A multiagency training involving firefighters from around the world is taking place in the hills above Ashland.
The Ashland Prescribed Fire Training Exchange, or TREX, is intended to bring a together a diverse range of firefighters to share knowledge and experience.
The program includes participants from the United Kingdom, Spain, and Ashland’s Sister City of Guanajuato, Mexico.
Ashland Fire and Rescue said that a prescribed burn site in the Greensprings area will be active through the next week as weather allows.
