President Trump claims to have canceled California wildfire relief funds

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. – The president targeted FEMA funding for deadly wildfires in California.

President Trump tweeted Wednesday he’s ordered FEMA to stop sending money to the state for wildfire recovery unless “they get their act together.”

The president misspelled the word “forest” twice in the tweet, as he blamed improper forest management for last year’s deadly fires.

Wildfires ravaged parts of the state, killing dozens of people, and wiping out communities.
