Calif. — (NBC News) Crews worked through the night to clean up the damage left behind by massive mudslides in southern California Thursday evening.
An afternoon of heavy rain triggered the slides.
The mudslides completely blocked off major highways, trapping some in their vehicles and forcing others to find alternate routes.
