Ore. — An Oregon man accused of using a blowtorch to assault a woman he allegedly held captive in a cabin for weeks is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
Deputies say Josef Taylor allegedly kidnapped his on-and-off again girlfriend and held her hostage in his rural Oregon cabin for three weeks, using a blowtorch to assault her.
Investigators say the woman escaped and ran to neighbors for help last Wednesday. The victim had a no contact order against Taylor from a previous domestic violence case. Taylor faces several charges.
