Hillsboro, Ore. — (KGW) A young father is pleading with the thief that stole a journal from his car to return the writings.
“It’s a really big deal,” says Eric Muehter.
The Hillsboro, Oregon man has been writing in a journal since before his daughter was born. He wanted her to know how excited he and her mom were to meet her.
“I wanted our kids to know we wanted them before they were here.”
The journal and one other were stashed in a leather bag in the back of Muehter’s car. He forgot to lock the doors Sunday night, and early Monday morning a thief got in the car and stole the leather bag and journals.
“They could’ve taken the car and I wouldn’t be upset,” said Muehter. “This journal is something I can’t get back.”
