Gasquet, Calif. — California Highway Patrol says the driver was heading north on US 199 near Gasquest when she traveled into the parking lot just south of the Mary Peacock Bridge on Tuesday.
She went through the lot then went down the embankment, rolling her car several times before coming to rest at the edge of the Smith River. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
