Sister of murder victim wants killer found

Klamath Falls, Ore. – The sister of a man who was brutally murdered on a bike trail in Klamath Falls a year ago isn’t giving up on the hunt to find his killer.

Tae Nelson-Doyle has a theory about why her brother Tyler was murdered. She said, “I think that somebody put a hit out on him.”

39-year-old Tyler Nelson was shot and killed on the O.C.& E. bike trail in November of 2014. “He was shot in the back 10 times,” said Nelson-Doyle.

Friends held a candlelight vigil shortly after the shooting occurred.

While no arrest was ever made, Tae Nelson has strong praise for the investigators, “They’ve gotten hundreds of leads.  Probably thousands.  They have several notebooks full, and they’ve been going through, trying to figure out what’s legitimate from rumor.”

But she’s hoping that just one more lead will help to break the case.

“I think there are people that know what happened,” said Nelson-Doyle.  We know that there were 3 to 4 people that were involved.  People saw them.”

No suspects, or persons of interest have ever been named in connection with the murder of Tyler Nelson.

Tips can be made to any law enforcement agency.
