Sherri Papini kidnapping investigation continues as old police reports surface

Redding, Calif. — Police reports more than a decade old are surfacing — centered around Shasta County woman Sherri Papini who went missing last fall.

The reports were acquired by the Sacramento Bee.

In one report from 2003 when Papini was 21, Papini’s mother alleged Papini harmed herself and blamed it on her.

The report does not indicate if the allegations were true.

In 2000, her father, Richard alleged Papini burglarized his residence.

In that same year, Papini’s sister reported her back door had been kicked in, and she believed Papini was the suspect.

These reports are not related to her disappearance and it doesn’t appear Papini was ever arrested.

The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office is still actively investigating her kidnapping.

34-year-old Papini was found alive on Thanksgiving Day after being missing for three weeks.

Police said the public is not in danger.
