Shots fired at Cave Junction park

0525 Jubillee ParkCave Junction, Ore. – Josephine County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who allegedly fired a gun at others during a verbal argument in Cave Junction.

Deputies say the incident occurred just before 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Jubilee Park on South Junction Avenue. The man fired at least five shots from a semi-automatic handgun at people in the park.

The man is described by deputies as a white man between the ages of 25 and 30, with a thin build and a large tattoo on his upper torso. He was shirtless at the time of the incident. Deputies say he wore blue jeans and a distinctive white sailor hat. He was last seen riding a beach cruiser style bike north on Junction Avenue and then west on Lister Street.
