Ashland, Ore. — All faucets and drinking fountains are safe to drink from at Southern Oregon University.
The school says they found two fountains in the Education/Psychology Building with higher levels of lead than acceptable.
Now, the problem fixtures have been removed. Other problem pipes were discovered and have been replaced.
Fewer than 10% of fixtures tested higher than the EPA’s limit for lead initially and now many of those have been fixed.
Some tests on newer buildings are still being processed.
