Toy gun reported at Oregon high school

handgun schoolCottage Grove, Ore. — A Cottage Grove high-schooler is suspended after police say he brought a toy gun to class and made threats.
The Eugene Register-Guard reports Cottage Grove police say the student isn’t expected to face charges. A school resource officer was told about the possibly armed student Friday morning, and took him out of class. The officer then discovered the gun was a toy cap gun.
The student cannot return to school until it’s determined he isn’t a threat to the school, students, or teachers
